2001 Cuvee “G” Pinot NoirDrink or hold Sold out Intense aromas of earth and smoke are balanced with notes of red fruits including strawberry and raspberry, nuanced with the delicate floral note of red rose. The aromas give away what is to follow in the palate, with generous flavors of strawberry, raspberry and earth, accompanied by tart red fruits of cranberry and pomegranate showing in the finish. This elegant Pinot displays a soft attack with a delicate mid-palate and subtle finish, leaving the palate wanting more. The overall impression is that of the classic marriage between the Pommard and Dijon clones: a complex of earth and fruit characters nuanced with floral notes, framed by soft tannins and pleasing acidity.
