The palate is loaded with ripe, juicy black cherries, cinnamon and leather. the deeply ripe flavors are both concentrated and dense, and are supported by fine tannins with a slightly softer acidity than is typical of the renowned Sangiovese from Italy. By combining the two we have achieved a wine that is rich, vibrant, and uniquely Northwest. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and vanilla are complimented with notes of cocoa, brown sugar, and cigarbox. Black cherry, boysenberry, and cassis flavors dominate the pallet accompanied by nuance of choke cherry and chicory root. This dark, inky wine exhibits a sweet entry, balanced by soft acids and supported by focused tannins, giving the impression of an intensely ripe wine with a lingering richness.

Varietal: 97% Sangiovese, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon Aromas of black plum, dried cherries give way to orange peel and cocoa. Blackberries and black-cherry dominate the entry, followed by notes of currant, roasted tomatoes and spice. The ripe and supple entry is offset with well-structured tannins on the finish, ultimately creating a blend that is characteristically food friendly.
