Wherever your feast may be, we are committed to crafting quality wines that enhance the food, friendship and celebration at your table!
Located in a Tuscan-inspired building just north of historic downtown Carlton, Cana's Feast Winery has a rich history of combining the tradition of bold Northwest red wines with good food, hospitality and celebration. Our fruit is sourced from some of the most respected vineyards in the the Northwest, including Ciel du Cheval, Coyote Canyon and Tapteil in Washington and Meredith Mitchell in the Willamette Valley. Winemaker Patrick Taylor combines traditional and modern techniques in the Cellar, crafting wines of richness and complexity that not only pair adeptly with food, but also express their varietal characteristics with depth and integrity. Production includes a selection of Italian varietals including Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Primitivo, along with Bordeaux-style blends and varietal bottlings, Syrah and Pinot Noir. Our most recent release is the 2007 Sangiovese Grosso. Produced from the first plantings of the storied VCR6 clone in the United States that were imported from Italy, this Grosso clone is used in the celebrated Brunello di Montalcino wines, and was planted for us in 2002 at Ciel du Cheval vineyard in Washington. In the Cucina at Cana's Feast, Executive Chef Lisa Lanxon lets the season and the winery's organic garden guide her menus of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. A Chef's Supper is available every Thursday night, featuring a set three-course menu that is seasonally-focused; cost is $25/person, including a glass of 2006 Bricco Red Wine. Casual Supper with an a la carte menu is offered Friday and Saturday nights, and our Enoteca Lunch is available Friday - Sunday. Guests are welcome to dine in the winery or on the terrace offering expansive views of the Coast Range and the winery's two Bocce courts. We can easily accomodate large and small groups for tours, tastings, dining and special events such as receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, or business meetings. Two highlights of the Summer 2009 event calendar included an acoustic evening with muscian Al Stewart and the well-received Italy in the Valley, an afternoon celebrating Italian wine, food and culture showcasing Oregon wineries who produce Italian varietals.
